The match was great!
GERMANY vs ARGENTINA.Germany advanced to the 2006 FIFA World Cup semi-finals after triumphing 4-2 over Argentina in a penalty shoot 1-1 draw at Berlins Olympiastadion on Friday,30 July 2006.
It proved impossible to separate able to concure up a couple of goals,Miroslave Klose's 80th-minute equalise cancelling out a 49th-minute opening strike from Roberto Ayala.
That left the match to be settled by penalties.,and it was Jens Lehmann who proved the hosts'hero, saving from both Ayala and Esteban Cambiasso, while Oliver Neuville,Micheal Ballack,Lukas Podolski and Tim Borowski all successfully dispatched their spot kick past Argentina's substitue goalkeeper,Leo Franco.
ITALY vs UKRAINE.Italy cruised into the semi-finals of Germany 2006 with convincing 3-0 victory over Ukraine in Dortmund on Friday,30 jun 2006.
A sixth-minute strike from Gianluca Zambrotta set the tone for the evening and a second-half brace from Luca Toni merely compounded the misery for Oleg Blokhin's side.Oleg Gusev,Andriy Gusin and Maksym Kalinichenko all went close for ukraine, but were denied by a combination of the woodwork and some excellent goalkeeper by Gianluigi Buffon
Italy now turn their attentions to a semi-finalmtie with the host in Dortmund on Tuesday,4 july, while FIFA World Cup debutants ukraine will return hone justfiably proud of their efforts.

Friday's mouth-watering clash in Berlin promises to be no exception, as two of the most enterprising teams in the Germany showpiece come into direct opposition.

On a personal level, the game will hold a particular significance for two of its potential protagonists: Jens Lehmann and Juan Riquelme. Barely two months after their paths crossed in the UEFA Champions League semi-final, fate has brought them together once again.
On that momentous 25 April night in Spain, Riquelme's Villarreal hosted Lehmann's Arsenal as the two sides went in search of Champions League glory. A tense match went right down to the wire, practically to the last kick of the game, when the Germany number one saved a penalty from the Argentinian playmaker.
Lehmann’s outstanding stop sealed Arsene Wenger’s team’s semi-final victory and it was they, not Villarreal, who went on to face Barcelona in their first-ever Champions League final. However, the Paris showpiece turned sour for Lehmann, who collected a red card after 18 minutes and he was a bystander as Arsenal went down to two late goals.
The tension will once again be unremitting in Berlin as the duo cross swords, proudly wearing the colours of their national teams. Though the prize at stake on this occasion is a place in the semi-finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the goal will once again be to get the better of a great rival and move one step closer to glory.

Lehmann keeps dream aliveIn Lehmann's case, he has already triumphed in one critical contest: the duel with his long-standing adversary Oliver Kahn for the Nationalmannschaft's number one jersey. Jurgen Klinsmann handed Lehmann a huge confidence boost in naming him as his first-choice keeper, and the experienced shot-stopper is determined to repay his coach’s faith.
It is so far, so good as well for Lehmann. Germany’s defence, often criticised in the run-up to the finals, has not shipped a single goal in their last three games, and Lehmann’s composure and authority have had much to do with that. However, as the 36-year-old admits, he is now looking for much more against Argentina: "It's true that Argentina are a dangerous outfit and probably the strongest we've seen in the tournament so far. They are on another level, but we have a lot of faith in ourselves."
At this stage in proceedings, as Lehmann freely admits, pressure becomes a telling factor and can be the difference between glory and despair. For all that, the keeper’s confidence in his team-mates is unwavering. “As the tournament progresses, it’s obvious that the pressure is going to increase," he said. "But we don’t feel it because we’re playing well. We’ve got what it takes to get through to the next round and we’ve got the whole country behind us. We can make a difference.”

Riquelme’s revivalMeanwhile, in the Argentinian camp, expectation is growing by the day. The gifted Riquelme is the standard-bearer for his team, the creative fulcrum around which the Albiceleste’s star-studded attack revolves and he is quite likely to take the spot-kick against his old adversary Lehmann should Argentina be awarded a penalty during the game.
The talented number ten has been quietly effective in the tournament so far, although a little way short of his brilliant best. Many pundits had him down as the player to watch, and while he has not disappointed, there can be no doubt that the Villarreal man has more to give. As Jose Pekerman made clear to Riquelme just hours before the two-time champions’ Round of 16 clash with Mexico, his country now needs him more than ever.
For his part, just days after his 28th birthday, the former Boca Juniors player remains quietly content with his team’s performances. “The most important thing is that the team wins and that we play as we can. We’ve done it up to now, and we want to carry on like that. Personally speaking, every time I go out onto the pitch, I’m happy,” explained the midfield maestro.
What is certain, however, is that he will be determined to redress the balance after that critical penalty miss in Villarreal. As the shy and retiring Riquelme has shown on so many occasions, actions speak louder than words.

hey,!today life was bored again.history repeats again and again.starting my day was fun till it ends when my two cousins came,so its a job for me to take over. Then the day starts, when dian came with her new brand shoe which a type that our geng never thought about it,although its fast and easy. But i can't help it.haha.And then tas came with her encouragement on her face. While i have a nap on my bed. What a easy life for me.haha...And again today, they try to convince me to school.well i can't tell ya what happened.I start my journey back in my sleep wondering'what am i going to do today'.I always think about finishing my history scrap book and geography, but instead of doing that,i continue my sleep just on the right spot on my sofa.I just can't help my lazyness.hehehehehehehehehehehehe......on night i watch football but what a pity it was'nt live.Yesterday match Brazil vs Ghana was ''postpone'' today at 9.00 p.m at rtm2 ,which i watch just now.I was satisfied with the game just now,it all was just went fair and square. News:It is four wins and counting for holders Brazil at the 2006 FIFA World Cup after they beat Ghana 3-0 in Dortmund to book their place in the quarter-finals in Tuesday,27 JUNE 2006. While Brazil advanced to a quarter-final againts france in Frankfurt on Saturday, the talking point of this Round of 16 tie was the opening goal by Ronaldo with which the Brazil marksman wrote his name in the record books.Ronaldo's fifth minute strike was his 15th in the FIFA World Cup,taking hin past germany Gerd Muller as the most prolific scorer in the 76-year history of the tournament. Ghana ,the only African side to advance to the knockout rounds, pushed Brazil all the way in the opening period but after missing several chances to score, they conceded a second goal right on the stroke of half-time from Adriano. After losing Asamoah Gyan to a red card following a second bookable offence in the 81st minute, their fate was sealed when Ze Roberto added a third for Brazil three minure later.
conclusion from me =D:the match was great n fair.it seems to me that the africans are friendly.Though, anything wrong move made by ghana, always they apologised. It was an honour for me that ghana can also make it to that level.eventhough they won't make it to the quarter final but they must be proud to make up to that level. And for Brazil,100 congrats to you.
now its already midnight here.keep up with the next match germany vs argentina

hey!its about 9.05 a.m here n i'm still blogging to post up new updates about yesterday.well,i eventually did'nt have enough sleep last night. Many things occurred to me about spooky things.hehe...*sob*so i decided to watch football.last match on that day '27 jun 2006'at 3.00 a.m untill the time reach 90 minutes.it was'nt quite great match.Though i think it was rather bored.cause spain lose n france win.its not fair.I think if david villa was on the match in the second half time, for sure they'll win.The result are:A late goals from Patrick Viera and Zinedine Zidane booked France a quarter -final tie with Brazil as they came from behind to beat Spain 3-1 in Hanover on Tuesday,27 june 2006.
A 28th minute penalty from David Villa had given Luis Aragones's side the lead, but Frank Ribery's equaliser four minutes before half time restored parity for Les Bleus.
With the match heading for extra time,Veira's header from a Zidane free-kick took deflection off Sergio Ramos and ended up in the back of Iker Casillas'net.
France will now meet Brazil in Frankfurt in the quarter-finals on Saturday 1 July.
GOAL RESULT
Spain: 21.VILLA David (28'PEN) France: 22.RIBERY France (41')
4.VIEIRA Patrick (83')
10.ZIDANE Zinedine (92+')
